Obama the Apostate(?)

Recently, I wrote that I believe that Obama is actually still a muslim.  He was born to a muslim father and he was raised as a muslim.  In this country, when political ambition was driving him, he “converted” to Christianity.

One of the strongest arguments that establishes his current practice of islam is that the muslim world loves him.  In islam, the punishment for apostacy is death.  But they love Obama.  Why?

Charles at LGF posted this gem today.  The money quote is:

“It’s conceivable that there are those in the Arab world who say to themselves, ‘This is a guy who spent some time in the Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein…”

Yup.  That’s why they love Ayan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Salman Rushdie, and all the other apostates with death sentences pronounced against them!

You can just see the dissembling, dishonest thought process.  “It’s conceivable”, as if this is a consession he is offering his critics.  And he puts the focus on “spending some time” and his middle name.

This is much safer for him than the real issue: is he really a muslim and does he pine for Israel’s destruction as much as his supporters in hamas?

Given that he declared that Israel is a “sore” on US foreign policy, there is little room for doubt.  Also note the style of thought, displayed consistently throughout this interview.  He answers substantive questions evasively by using personal anecdotes that are irrelevant to the topic.  For example:

JEFFREY GOLDBERG: I’m curious to hear you talk about the Zionist idea. Do you believe that it has justice on its side?

BARACK OBAMA: You know, when I think about the Zionist idea, I think about how my feelings about Israel were shaped as a young man — as a child, in fact. I had a camp counselor when I was in sixth grade who was Jewish-American…

It always amazes me that people don’t catch this kind of dishonesty.  The question was clear.  Do you think zionism is just?  One is left with only one conclusion from his transparent attempt to evade the question.  No, he doesn’t think it’s just but he knows he cannot openly say what he thinks at this time.
